Greater Manchester Community Led Homes is a Hub for community-led housing support within Greater Manchester.

We are an independent not-for-profit Community Benefit Society and are part of a national movement to help communities take action on housing. We are the first port of call for community groups and organisations looking for advice, resources, and useful contacts. Since January 2025, we have been working in partnership with Inspiring Housing CLT, a community-owned Registered Provider of affordable housing, to enable the delivery of community-led housing at scale. 

Community-Led Housing refers to homes that are built or brought back into use by local people, rather than those built by big developers with no connection to a local community. Community-led projects are genuinely understood and supported by the community, and the homes are owned or managed by local people. In many cases the benefits to the community are legally protected in perpetuity.
